Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. (James 1:27 NIV)

Paven and Jacqui Chetty felt led to be involved in St Nicholas' Children's Home based on this passage.  "Over the past two years it has been a journey for us to see these children grow and we in turn have also grown. From being involved in doing birthday parties at the end of each month to Christmas parties at the end of each year and finally to be doing a Bible study in all three of the homes, has allowed us to form a relationship with these children.  The children are in desperate need of adults whom they can trust and who are constants in their lives. If you would like to be part of these children's lives, it would only take up ten hours of your time for the entire year and it may mean the only spiritual input that these children ever receive. One day they may look back and remember that you imparted words of wisdom to them and it may be because of this input that they chose a righteous path and become responsible adults. God says that if we raise a child in His ways when they are young, they will not depart from His word. This may be the Godly influence that can stay with these children and keep them under the covering of God."
